Institute for Energy and Sustainability to Hold Conference for Central New England’s Clean Energy Technology and Renewable Energy Companies

The Institute for Energy and Sustainability (IES) will bring together over 100 of the region’s leading clean energy technology and renewable energy companies, along with academic, business and government leaders at “In the Black with Green Ideas.” The conference will be held on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the WPI Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center at Gateway Park, 60 Prescott Street in Worcester, MA.
Invited guests will hear from U.S. Department of Energy Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, Jacques Beaudry-Losique who will discuss how clean energy technology investments can improve an enterprise’s bottom line.
Other speakers include Congressman Jim McGovern, Massachusetts Secretary of Energy and Environmental Affairs Ian Bowles, and Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray. In addition to presentations on stimulating the new energy economy, investing in green technology and creating jobs, corporate and sector leaders will have an opportunity to express their viewpoints and pose questions during a roundtable discussion focusing on growing the clean energy economy.
